What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Houston is served by two airports, George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and William P. Hobby (HOU).
Taxicabs are available at an estimated cost of $40-60 to or from William P. Hobby Airport or George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Parking is available at the Texas Medical Center Parking Garage 10, located at 6700 MD Anderson Boulevard Houston, TX 77030, near the corner of MD Anderson Boulevard and Holcombe Boulevard. Please make sure to obtain a SMART CHIP when you enter the parking garage, rather than using your credit card. The Smart Chip is needed in order to validate parking for the day.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes. If you need to transfer your conference registration to someone else's name, please contact the Department of Social Work at 713-792-6195.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No.  If you arrive to the conference on the morning of April 12, 2013 and do not have your registration confirmation, please provide a drivers license or some other form of photo identification.

What is the refund policy?

The registration fee, minus a $50 administrative handling fee, is refundable if a verbal request is received on or before Monday, March 18, 2013. No refunds will be granted after that date. Although no refunds will be granted after March 18, 2013, you may transfer your registration to a colleague.  For additional information, contact the Department of Social Work at 713-792-6195.

The Department of Social Work reserves the right to cancel activities prior to the scheduled date if low enrollment or other circumstances make it necessary.  Each registrant will be notified by mail, e-mail, or at the phone numbers given on the online registration form.

In case of activity cancellation, the liability of the Department of Social Work is limited to the registration fee.  The Department of Social Work will refund the full registration fee.  The Department of Social Work reserves the right to limit the number of participants in a program and is not responsible for any expenses incurred by an individual whose registration is not confirmed and for whom space is not available.
